The Principals of Tormac Mechanical Contractors Ltd. have been in operation since 1987. Our expertise caters to the Industrial, Commercial, Institutional (ICI) sectors and have a combined 85 years of experience and expertise.

We are seeking a personable, qualified Senior Mechanical Site Foreman in the ICI Sector.

STATUS: Full-time
LOCATION: UA Local 46 Jurisdiction
HOURS OF WORK: 36 HRS (4 x 9's)
PAYGRADE: UA 46 Package + Great Incentives (please inquire)

PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take Foreman ownership of assigned projects
• Assessing job priorities and assigning employees to appropriate job tasks
• Overseeing the work and making sure it runs smoothly and as per the plan
• Making sure safety precautions/standards are always followed
• Prepare daily material order requirements from suppliers for continuous work production avoiding material delays
• Communicating daily with site Project Manager outlining positives and negatives of current work production including sub-trades performance
• Evaluate quickest and easiest way to a job without sacrificing quality of the work and adhering to all drawings and specifications
• Communicating and staying on track with sub-trades performance
• The foreman should ensure all tools are accounted for and brought back from work areas and locked up at designated sites upon completion of every work shift
• Asbuild markup drawings must be updated; maintained and produced upon completion of projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum ten (10) years overall Mechanical Construction Field experience
• Must have prior Foreman experience
• Mechanical Construction Field experience within Health Care Facilities is an asset
• Must be able to read and interpret Construction drawings & specifications thoroughly
• Computer proficiency is an asset
• Must be able to effectively and professionally interact with others
• Possess excellent oral, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Resourceful research and problem solving skills
• Must be extremely detail oriented, accurate and efficient
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to work efficiently while under pressure and tight deadlines
• WHMIS + First Aid trained
• Valid driver's license
